[Yaesu] FT-847 With SB-201 Question.

Hello Yaesu List Members,

I just purchased a Heatkit SB-201 amp that I want to run with my 
FT-847.  The amp is in beautiful condition, running on 110 V, and the ten 
meters mod has been done.  At first look it isn't apparent that any of the 
recommended 201 mods (Harbach, AC6K) have been made to this amp.  This amp 
has been in recent usage with a TS-830.  My main concern at this point is 
do I need to install the soft-key mod on amp before trying to run it with 
the 847?  For what it's worth my set up on the 847 is a Carolina Windom 80 
Special and a MFJ 941D Versa Tuner II.  I will have to use one of my other 
legal limit antenna tuners with this arrangement.  I sure don't want to 
hook this amp up to my 847 before I'm sure that it won't damage the radio 
without, at least, the soft-key mod.
