Hi Fern,
You said you sent an email to 'Chip'. Who's Chip ?
Sending email to an individual at a company is fraught with peril. The
person may:
a) have left the company
b) be on vacation
c) be on leave
d) be in a product training class
e) have been promoted
f) have 1200 emails in their in-box
g) have hit the big lottery jackpot and is not coming in anymore...
You may get better service overall by using the standard contacts for Yaesu
(actually Vertex Standard) on their web site:

The rather impersonal sounding email addresses go to a staff that will fill
in for each other for any of the above reasons...
