A couple of things: Reply-to traditionally goes to the sender of a message,
not some mail processing agent (like a list server). Reply-to-all goes to
everyone on the from: to: and cc: lists (and any others that are destination
in nature).
This has the advantage that a quick reply goes only to the person who sent
an email. A user has to make a conscious decision to send their message to
4000 people. On the Yahoo groups, very few conscious decisions are made
by any of the posters.
The QTH lists are some of the higher SNR lists that I subscribe to and the
yaesu list very much so.
