This is interesting.  Besides the price, it seems that choosing between
these three radios is not that simple.  I have heard a number of people
remark that the 1000D is better than the MP and MarkV.

Have had 2 MP's, 1 Mark V, and a 1000D.  Also used to have a 920 - sold it
three years ago.  Big mistake.  Have since sold both MP's, the Mark V and
just recently picked up another 920.  What a radio - great for it's price
and runs circles around the MP and Mark V.  Still not quite up to the 1000D,
but close enough.
