[Yaesu] FT1000D AGC -off behaviour

What isn't obvious, is why the audio *decays* (presumably over a short
time) and eventually goes off completely.

This implies that the overload condition might also involve a gradual
shift in DC bias.

One might argue that "all bets are off" when amplifier stages are being
overdriven like this.  I would expect that each radio model might
behave somewhat differently in this regard.
