Could someone please verify some strange behavior I'm seeing with my FT1000D please? When tuning in the AM Broadcast band, AGC anywhere except OFF, everything is great. But on strong local stations, turning AGC OFF causes the audio to decay into distortion, and then off completely. This doesn't seem to happen on weak signals. Is this normal?
