Steve,

I had the same problem with my FT 847.  RF in the audio.  Last weekend I 
shortened the DC power cord, added chokes and placed a large value (500 mfd) 
cap across the power cord right at the input to the radio.  Also made sure 
the rig was well grounded.  It's only been a couple days, but I think I cured 
my RF in the audio problem up to output levels w/amp to 1,500 watts on 40, 20 
& 17m.
