There was a significant change in version 6.0 of the ROM. 
I doubt that any of the logging programs will work 
satisfactorily with versions other than 6.0.  

Version 6.0 added an "abbreviated" data format (limited 
data - VFO A/VFO B/Mode/split) vs. a full data dump (both 
VFOs, mode, split, all memories, S-meter, etc.).  Most of 
current the software calls for the "short" response and 
is not set-up to handle the long form.  

In the early versions of the FT-1000 ROM, audio was even 
MUTED during the data dump (UPDATE command) which took 
almost four seconds.
