[Yaesu] Same problem in the FT 1000D and older FT 980

David,
Read my post from a couple of days about about the FT-1000D headphone jack.
It is very easy to replace and costs about $8.00 direct from Yaesu. It
solved my problem. It's not an issue of jack size. It's just that the
connections inside the jack wear out eventually.
