[Yaesu] FT 8100 R problems

hello all,
	some time ago i asked about rf feedback problems with the ft 8100 r.
i am pleased to say the problem appears to be solved .a damaged mic lead
seemed to be the culprit.
	also ,    just a comment about the way the volume / squelch controls
are mouted in the head unit. The chap i sold the radio to was having
other problems with intermittent audio control on the right hand
control, i had a look inside and was amazed to find the way the control
was connected , such a feeble plug / socket for a control that gets used
so much. with the radio in a mobile situation subjected to vibration i
would have expected a "heavier " connection.
