| BTW, Kenwood service is no better.  Icom may be marginally better.  If
| you want service you need to stick with smaller companies (i.e.: Ten Tec
| or Patcomm in the US, Tokyo Hy-Power in Japan).  The big three are all
| arrogant.  Still, if they make unique and exceptional products, you have
| to make a decision of what you are willing to put up with.

Icom may be better from all the practise in repairing dry solder joints. ;-)
This seems to be the biggest complaint locally.
