Extensive debate just raged on the PCR-1000 QTH reflector and the opinion
was over 2:1 to make the mailing list act like a mailing list. It IS a
reflector. People post, and everyone sees it. Why should you have to type
the name ( or cut-n-paste ) the name of the reflector just to reply to the
reflector?

Again, what if your Yeasu FT-51 LOST the repeater offset after every
transmission and you had to manally reset the offset? You'd be pretty
pissed.

If I want to reply to all to respond to a general query when the list is set
up to "reply=reply to sender" then I must hit "reply to all" and then the
original poster gets 2 copies of the message...QRM

Set properly, like Yahoo!groups does, reply=reply to the group. In the rare
case that you somehow wanted to reply to someone privately, you can easily
copy/click on the sender's name/paste in the new window.

In what scenario does it make sense for a mailing LIST to not distribute
replies to the LIST?
