SV: [Yaesu] FT-990 Questions

To be able to adjust or repair the radio you need special service boards
that not can be obtained any longer. I alomost bought a 990, but when I got
into trouble with my FT-650 that have the same layout, I realized the
problem.

It's getting close to rig buying time.... While I can't exactly swing the
price of a new Mark V Field, I am opting to go the used route and am
strongly considering purchasing an FT-990.

My questions are:

(1) Was there any serial number run that may be problematic (like with the
TS-940, for example)

(2) What stock filters (if any) did the rig come with?

(3) Any after-market filter suggestions? (like the InRad line). More
specifically, recommended filters for contesting and Dx'ing.

The eham.net reviews of the 990 are impressive, but if there is something
else I should know regarding this rig, please let me know.
