greetings all...
i need help identifying a digital signal i found on 6 meters, 50.299mhz usb, sunday august 26, between approx 2130z to 2300z. i'm located in galt ca cm98ig, about 20 miles south of sacramento, and i recieved it the strongest when aimed due west, towards fairfield, napa and santa rosa.
it was a narrow signal, looking quite similar to ft8, and centered near 1500hz in the passband. for approx 90 minutes, it made short transmissions every 3-4 minutes.
when i initially saw it in the bandscope, i thought it was wspr but once tuned... clearly it was something else.
i went through almost all the modes available in fldigi with no luck.
the poorly made video shows three screen views. 1. the first view is the fldigi program in the narrowest contestia mode, data streaming downward looks almost like a "wsjt" mode. 2. the second view is a sdr/bandscope showing the spacing and relative lengths of the 3 transmissions. 3. the last view is wsjt-x in wspr mode and you can see the transmission spacings. the horizontal line accross this view is the wspr even minute marker. also note, the second vertical signal forming a "pair" is actually multipath which changed with antenna direction.
you can hear the signal in the audio portion of the video.

what is it? i think its a beacon??
thanks 73 tom wa6osx
