David was the first person I heard and talked to when I got my license almost 20 years ago now. He was also a neighbor who lived only a few blocks from my QTH. I was happy to have worked with him in forming the Western States Weak Signal Society back then as well. We spent many evenings together printing, folding, addressing and stamping the WSWSS newsletters on his dining room table. It is truly sad to hear of his passing.
