[Wswss] June VHFQSO Party

Hey Neil,
I think people are thinking that a better source of accurate
information would be the logs recorded on the ARRL Web site. Others,
perhaps, think it a little, well, optimistic of you to ask that they
crystallize their thinking and report it to you two months before the event.
If you get six replies here, and four say they'll be on, what will
that tell you? Will you be able to extrapolate four positive replies
to some number of possible contacts? And what about the hundreds of
participants who don't receive the WSWSS reflector ... which I gotta
say is a surprisingly effective zombie site, considering how long
WSWSS has been gone.
All that said, the June contest is the most active VHF contest in
Southern California. If you don't think the activity is enough, it's
probably time to sell your contesting gear, because I don't think
you'll find a better weekend. During the sunspot lows, there were a
couple of terrible years with only an hour or two of skip, but this
time around I think you should enjoy it.
