Neil and all

I plan to be on from our summer Sierra wilderness cabin at 5000 feet this
year for the June VHF QSO party from CM99 in Nevada County, California, and
I will be on 6M SSB and CW, 220MHz SSB and CW, 2M SSB, CW and FM, 70CM SSB
and CW, 927.5 MHz FM, and 1296 MHz SSB, CW and FM. I will be running
multiple Yaesu FT-736R and FT-726R transceivers and a modified Motorola
Saber unit and I will probably be operating as SOLP with power ranging from
10W to 100W according to the rules for each band.

I may or may not be using our monster 11 element 70 foot boom length 6M M2
Yagi this year from the cabin depending on the amount of winter damage. (The
antenna holds up great every winter...the problems when they occur are
usually with the rotor to mast clamps or the boom to mast clamps surviving
the winters and the extremely high winter wind gusts up there. M2 makes
great antennas IMHO).

I will be running mainly on batteries and solar power this year from the
cabin with some *great* antennas and multiple towers.

I plan to do some "serious" contesting from CM 99 during the June VHF
contest as I will be dedicating the entire June VHF weekend this year to
just the June VHF QSO party and ham radio from our summer "cabin".

I look forward to being a needed multiplier for as many as possible on a
needed band mode from CM99 this year. Have fun all and see you in the
pileups! :-) 73, Ted, K6XN

PS I have posted a picture of our Sierra wilderness cabin that we have built
up there over the last 20 +/- years at our QRZ.COM listing. The cabin and
VHF towers are on top of a 5000 foot mountain/ridge line on a several
hundred acre site surrounded by the Tahoe National Forest. We usually hear
*very* well from up there as we have no neighbors, almost no vehicle
traffic, no TV or baby monitor QRM etc, no power lines and no paved roads
for miles in any direction from the cabin.

Howdy folks:

I would like to get a head count of everyone that will be participating in
the June VHF QSO Party. And, if you could, please provide the bands you
will be operating as well as if you will be seriously contesting, or just
dabbling and giving points here and there. Rovers, let me know what grids
you plan to activate and what bands you will have.

I am doing this to gauge the amount of activity there will be in order to
determine whether or not to compete.

Thanks in advance for all your responses.

73,
Neil - N6VHF
