[Wswss] ARRL Southwestern Division e-Communicator

While it's true that any date you pick will conflict with something. Why
does it always have to be the same date so that it always conflicts with the
same thing?
I know there have been some exceptions but most of the time it's on the VHF
contest weekend.

Marty has summed up the issues. Seemingly no matter which date is
selected, there will be some who will be offended.

Typically, the convention falls on the first weekend after Labor Day,
which is likely to conflict with the VHF Contest. It is up to the
sponsoring organization to pick the date. I am happy that we still
have groups willing to put the conventions on, as there are no
division conventions anymore in many of the ARRL divisions.

As Marty also said, 2012's is in February, because the group that will
sponsor it, will do so in February.

Dick, N6AA, VHF Contest Flyweight
