They do it out on the desert. How many repeaters are in the area? How much
power does he plan to use for his transmitters.

I have been building tracking transmitters for freeflight model airplanes.
My transmitters are just under 100mw and operate on 2M. The repeater is more
of a problem to me than I am to it. My transmitters operate in the simplex
zone anyway. But one commercial one I bought for testing was on the same
frequency as the Tacoma clubs repeater output.
