Hi Wayne!
I like you rational at the bottom for roving, hi hi. What kind of amp are you using if you don't mind sharing with the group here. Tks and GL! Will look for you on 2 tonight.

Subject: [Wswss] Roving in the 144 MHz sprint Monday evening
The September VHF contest was only last weekend.
The second weekend of the 10 GHz contest just ended.
Now there's the fall sprint on two meters tonight
(Monday night) from 7-11 p.m. local time.
In an attempt to overdose on amateur radio, I will be
roving tonight, starting in DM05pf (a site near Arvin
that seems to have a good shot toward the Bay Area and
Sacramento), then moving to DM04mx (Wheeler Ridge,
also with a fair shot north). As time permits, I'll
go over the Grapevine and south to the L.A. Basin,
operating in DM04, DM03 and DM13.
Why would anyone do this so soon after roving in Texas
in the September VHF contest? 1) to try out a couple
of promising locations; 2) to test a new setup with a
vacuum tube kilowatt that can be operated mobile in
motion; and 3) out of sheer insanity.
Please look for me on 144.200 (or 144.195 if 200 is
busy).
73,
Wayne, N6NB/R
