Good morning all, Len WA6KLK CM89hi here.

Listened and transmited with the antenna at about 142 degrees from 0930
to 0955 this morning on 1296.100 cw. About 0940 plus and minus a few
minutes was hearing weak cw from the south on that heading--142
degrees---LA, Anahiem, San Diego--but coukl not pull anthing thru.
Someone there tho. Jim--AF6O--sorry I did not get the antenna over to
you this morning. That is about 135 degrees from here I think. For
those interested, I run about 80 watts to the antenna, a ten foot dish.
I am on a 2600 foot ridge five miles due south of Willits, CA. Have a
good shot to the south land, just have to add about 150 to 200 miles
more from W6PQLs and NA6XXs locations. ie, I am along Highway 101 north
north west of Ukiah Ca. Have worked Ralph a few times on this band but
that is farthest extent south. Have also done N6VMO in Lompoc. altho
many years ago hear a San Diego station when pointed about due south
over the ocean and he was pointed out to sea. Think that was a fog bank
bounce.

Will be on tuesday night and maybe a few other nights and try for most
of next weekend if I can.

Thanks all, looking forward to working you !!

73 Len WA6KLK CM89hi
