As long as your packets are unrepeated (i.e. your communication is from 
your radio directly to the recipient's radio and not through a 
digipeater... which is how you're supposed to use it), it's fine.  It's 
not any more "assisted" than asking for a 440 qso after completing a qso 
on two meters.
