WSWSS 2004 Fall Conference 

The Western States Weak Signal Society tenth annual VHF/UHF conference
will be held in Fresno, CA this year.  The date is Saturday, October 9,
2004. Registration will begin at 8 AM; the conference program will begin
at 9 AM.  There will be a continental breakfast, technical sessions, a
BBQ dinner, and a door prize drawing for a new Icom 706 MKIIG.There is
limited seating for the conference and dinner. You must purchase tickets
in advance. No additional tickets will be sold and only full paid
attendees will be included in this drawing. All of this for the low price
of $30.  Spouse or companion tickets for the BBQ dinner are available for
$15.  A second raffle type drawing for a Yaesu FT-817ND and other prizes
will be held. Tickets are $5 ea. Only a specified number of these tickets
will be sold. You do not need to be present to win the Yaesu FT-817ND,
but other prizes will be available for attendees only.

The technical program sessions will include project building techniques,
EME VHF/UHF radio, protecting and marketing your ham radio projects. And
other weak signal topics. There will be a WSWSS general meeting. The
conference sessions will begin at 9 AM.  We will break for an on your own
lunch at noon and return by 1:30 PM for more sessions till 5:30 PM when
we will have a catered BBQ dinner.

There will be time allotted to do a little tail gate swapping in the
morning and at other breaks thoughout the day.

The WSWSS 2004 conference committee expresses thanks to Myrna, Mike and
all the gang at M2 for their hospitality in allowing us to have the
conference at their facility.  Those who will be arriving Friday night
might want to join us at the Home Town Buffet at the corner of Shaw and
Marty at 7:00 PM for dinner.

The location is the M2 Antenna System Facility, 4402 N. Selland Ave,
Fresno CA 93722. This is near the 99 freeway and the Ashlan or the Shaw
exits.

The closest airport is Fresno Yosemite International, served by most
western carriers, has rental car service and other expected amenities. 
Check out their wireless computer networking system.
