[WSWSS] Getting started on 10 GHz

Hi Jeff,

I'll try to handle your questions... Yep you've got a
Big feedline problem if you are going to try and run
the transverter inside the shack! Try to figure a way
to mount the transverter at the feed horn or very
close to it. 

There are several folks with 10 GHz in the valley.
There's a chap up in your area (north torards Modesto)
with a tower mounted 10 GHz. system. My system is
operational for contests from the upper roof of
CSU-Fresno approx 150' AGL. I run the transverter next
to the feed horn with 2' of coax. Works great. I can
hear the Mt. Frasier beacon great.... Others with 10
GHz are Robert KR7O and John, K6MI (John's rig is like
mine, only set up for contests).

What other equipment... You'll need a small sma
microwave relayfor the T/R relay and a 28 volt DC
supply for the relay.

That's about it.
