I just ordered the DEM 10368-144 with the WTR option fully
assembled 10 GHz transverter. I also
have acouple of solid metal 3 and 4 foot dishes. I will be using the
FT-847 in the shack and the FT-100 for portable operation for the 144
MHz IF. Here are some questions:
How do I run the signal from the outside antenna to inside the shack.
Wouldn't that be a lot of loss in the cable ??
What other equipment do I need to get on the air ( I guess I need a 10
GHz feedhorn )
Who can I work on the valley floor from my location and what about
antenna placement at the shack / home location ??
Guess I will stop here for further comments.

Please Note : I have a very late start in the activity because of the
fact I am on the west coast and have a
minimum dish elevation of 20 degrees. This is why I think I miss most of
the activity during the activity weekends.
