Sorry to hear the beacon is off the air... We listen for it on the
Scanner... Now I know why I haven't heard it... hi hi When not on the moon I
use the moon array for two meters and a 275H to scan... works good... hi hi

I'm surprized it bothered people... Greg's is 26 miles north of me at about
1800 ft and I only notice it when pointed at it and with noise blanker on
and preamped...this is with the normal tropo system two each 17B2s and
masted mounted preamp...

The Beacon are a blessing... It sure helps me to know what happening on the
band real quick... that and prop Logger... hi hi

The UTAH is in most of the summer and if it wasn't for that beacon we would
have missed 1/2 dozen grids on two.. His 6 Meter beacon is perfect also...So
if any of you others haven't put them in your radios you need to... the two
meter has three levels of power and that is another help...

and your right to have a beacon on it needs to be on all the time... not a
on then off system... I've tuned right past them... Love the PRO on 6 meters
as the scope will pick up the blip... but nothing like that on two...

Listen everyday for the beacon as the sun progresses that way... morning to
the east afternoon to the south and so forth..

that again and appreciate all that those do to help us nuts...

Work EM25 and EM04 on two night before last... Beacons!!!! and N9JIM>....
Thanks Jim... 73 Larry
