To Wayne and all...

Wayne First thanks for leaving the beacon on, and like you I would think an
omni would be the first choice of an antenna... It would sure add to those
summer Es that seems to favor the Southern CA area... hi hi LA and AZ and
West TX sure get in there alot... My days in Abilene (9 Years) each and
every E season had me working into Southern CA and up to DM06... So I think
the placement would be great for that... Those in the Northern CA area CM89,
CN80, and such will really enjoy... They'll know when to shout for the
Southern Calls...

We immediately were able to see the advanatage of this beacon here in the
North... With only two known beacons in the South on two meters, DM12 and
the DM15 beacon (Which has been down alot). We actually would love another
beacon in DM13/03 area on two meters.... You being over the ridge and a
little alt. is great... In fact hollar if you need some help with a OMNI
antenna...

and to all please know that the Utah Beacon, WA7X see:
http://www.wswss.org/beacons/wa7xbeacon.html is a real asset for us.... I
Truly use it alot... Greg beacon is in my back yard, so to speak and with
Waynes just a bit off and to the south it's easy to have them in memory and
scan...The other Beacon is in SD and that is a propagation direction for us
in the North... We have a MT and SD type opening that favors that direction
so the W0BLK/B is another great one in Line with the WA7X... Same direction
same freq....

Sooooo for my vote please consider our propagation in the North and perhaps
intertain a DM03 or DM13 Beacon.... It would really add to the Northern CA,
LV and AZ needs...

Take Care and hasn't Six been a blast... W6QUV worked I0JX the other day on
CW and he was readable as a 559 easy.... Double hop has existed each and
every day for the last three and I hear is opening in the back ground now
and will go see whats up... for now good hunting and best from Larry and
Sue.... W6OMF and the Boss K6SUE...
