Guys, Gals,

  Before everyone stuffs their feet into their mouths, check out the ARRL
website and see what they have done for contest results.  It's WAY more than
has ever been published in QST.  In reference to Field Day, maybe it's
published because it is the most participated  event of the year might have
a little to do with it.  As far as the SET, it'll remain. Poo-Poo the ARRL?
Take a look at what they do versus what they don't and then compare them to
the other organizations that promote amateur radio.  They can't be
everything to everyone, but then they come close!

That's just great!  Reason #101 not to like the ARRL.
And what is so special about Field Day?  If they want
to promote the public service side of radio, at least
they could leave the results of the Simulated
Emergency Test in.
