Your WSWSS President, Joe Morris - N6RPM and myself are the only two people
who have committed to work the WSWSS information booth at the ARRL
Convention this weekend. It is amazing to me that with a group of as many
members as the WSWSS has, that no one else has volunteered to help
out. Joe and I will be spending our own money for gas, food and lodging to
attend this conference, on behalf of the WSWSS. And thanks to Pat Coker,
our High Desert Area Director; he will be one of the guest speakers at the
convention. His topic will be working weak signals on VHF/UHF and also
touting the WSWSS.
We asked for help a few times over the past few months but got no
response. I am sure that this message will be futile, but I thought I'd
give it one last shot. If you would like to help us man the booth at the
ARRL convention that starts tomorrow, please let us know. You can e-mail
Joe at [email protected] or [email protected]. Or, you can just show up at the
convention, find the WSWSS booth and let us know that you can help out. It
would be greatly appreciated! Even for an hour or two, so that us two can
take a break!
I know that some of you have kids in soccer, can't afford to go, are out of
town, etc. But it is pretty sad when a club with around 200 members cant
get more than 2 people to volunteer.
