[WRL] Globe King 400B & VFO question

I am trying to feed a VFO output to my Globe King 400B.  But, I am not
having any success.  Oscillator works FB with a crystal, but I can not drive
the exciter with the VFO input.  Any idea what the VFO signal level has to
be in order to drive the exciter?  I am trying to drive it with a Globe V-10
VFO.
