KB9KTD - HUBER-LAN - EQ-REPAIRJust a reminder for anyone with time on their hands tonight. The Fall VHF 144 Sprint is from 7pm to 11pm local time everywhere. Please get on and help if you can by handing out some contacts, here's where:
If you have SSB you will find most stations are working around the call frequency of 144.200 USB. If you can only get on FM look for activity around 146.55 on the 1/2 hours. You don't have to send in a log, but even if you only get on and give out a couple contacts, please send one. While the contests are fun for us that play them, the main reason is to generate activity and interest in VHF. Via logs sent in, sponsors can see that their efforts are not in vane.
Thanks in large part to local stations I was able to get 1st place overall in the 2010 VHF Spring Sprints, rookie category so for us living in the black hole of VHF that's not bad.
