Hi Don et al:

I'm in Somers by the lake and about 300' from Kenosha, I guess about halfway across town from you.

I tuned around some last night and today. I'll be happy to listen further but what I found was nothing of that nature on 80 but definately on 160. Specifically 1960, 1830, 1910 there was a strong mixing product of WLUP and WBBM. Attenuators and different radios didn't make any difference. Didn't try different antennas. Today was the first time this season I was on 160, so I'm curious about the mix product as well.

I have a strong local sounding noise source at multiple points on 75 that I haven't yet tracked down, probably a computer thing in the house, so I may have missed your noise.

You're a lot closer to LUP than I am which may account for the difference. If you pass along specific times and frequencies I'll check 'em out. All sorts of metal structures could be rectifying and reradiating.

BTW you have an fb web page. Neat to see the FPM-200 again - I had one of those 20 years ago. After I was suitably amazed I sold it :)
