A side note, there is a "wellness net" every day on 3.905 MHz at 12:00 noon
local time, It is an ARES ran net but any station in Illinois can check in.
The purpose of the net is to allow hams to network with others during this
time of "social distancing".
We are radio operators, getting on the radio should not be a novel idea to
us and since most of us have nothing better to do...

Hey group,
KB9YN and I were discussing possible ways to keep the club in touch. Is
anyone interested in having an extended net session on Wed nights? Say
after initial checkins, NCS passes the torch to each who has checked in and
allow some brief comments until all have had a chance to say hi? Control
could go back to NCS after each participant so NCS is the only one who has
to keep track of "who is still here".
Thoughts? Good idea? Dumbest thing you've ever heard?
73, Jim N9JF
