[WIARC] John Helm's wife

I just had a call letting me know that John Helm, KA9WTK, lost his wife to
cancer on Monday. I saw John in HyVee last week and he said then that she
was in Blessing after having surgery in Barnes in STL.  He said then that
she was not doing well.  

 

Grave side services are scheduled for Thursday at Quincy memorial Park at 11
AM.  Here is the brief obituary from the Herald Whig web page:

 

Helen L. Helm, 71, of Quincy, died April 22, 2013, in Blessing Hospital.
Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday in Quincy Memorial Park.
There is no visitation, but friends are invited to the graveside services.
The Duker and Haugh Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

 

Even though John is not a current member, I will pick up a card to mail for
the club.  He was a long time member in years past.
