Note from Jeff:
*T**he Winter Storm Warning has been expanded to cover Eastern Preston
County and all of Tucker County. With five to eight inches of snow expected
and high wind gusts, we will activate the North Central West Virginia
Skywarn Net in Standby Mode on the W8MWA repeater. (145.430 MHz, -600, PL
103.5) Activation time TBD but likely late afternoon to early evening. *

*I will notify you of net activation via these lists and via the W8MWA
repeater. Please monitor the repeater. We will look for snowfall reports
from all areas, but will concentrate on stations in Preston and Tucker
Counties.*

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 5 and 8
inches. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.

* WHERE...Eastern Preston and Western Tucker Counties.

* WHEN...From 10 AM this morning to 6 AM EST Saturday.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing
snow. Travel could be difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact the
Friday evening commute.

* IMPACTS...Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing
snow. Travel could be very difficult. The hazardous conditions will impact
the Friday evening commute. Strong winds could cause damage to trees and
power lines.
