The National Weather Service in Pittsburgh has issued a

* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for...
  Southern Preston County in northeastern West Virginia...
  Tucker County in northeastern West Virginia...

* Until 900 PM EDT.

* At 806 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 20 miles southwest of
Newburg, or 19 miles west of Parsons, moving east at 40 mph.

  HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

  SOURCE...Public reported.

  IMPACT...Hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to
roofs, siding, and trees.

* Locations impacted include...
  Parsons, Davis, Thomas, Hendricks, Hambleton, Aurora, and Canaan Valley
State Park,

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Seek shelter inside a well-built structure and stay away from
windows. This storm is capable of producing damaging winds and has
produced large hail.

Tornadoes can develop quickly from severe thunderstorms. Seek shelter
immediately in an interior room on the lowest floor of a well-built
structure.

Wind damage with this storm will occur before any rain or lightning. Do not
wait for the sound of thunder before taking cover. Seek shelter immediately
inside a sturdy structure and stay away from windows
