Just going to put this here. Remember the 147.27 repeater seems to cover
the whole state, like it’s the only repeater West Virginia has.
********************NEWS FLASH*********************
We are excited to host our first HF net with our WV amateur radio
community, and we are happy to announce our first HF net will be this
Saturday December 21st at 7pm.
There are a few notes to cover before we begin our first net:
At 7pm, we will meet on 7.235MHz. If 7.235MHz is unavailable, then we will
meet on 7.240 followed by 7.230 in that order. If those frequencies are
unavailable or unusable, we will follow with 3.810MHz followed by 3.865MHz.
If all band conditions are less than optimal, we will host our first net on
Sunday December 22nd at 7pm If we have active space weather conditions (i.e
Solar Radiation Storm, Geomagnetic Storm), the use of a net will depend on
the intensity of the storm which may be degraded for a longer period of
time and may need a longer waiting period. In this case, we may need to
postpone the net until conditions improve
All licensed amateur radio operators who are General, Advanced, and Extra
class are encouraged to participate in this net.
We are also excited to announce we will be hosting a 2 meter net on the
Scott Depot Repeater on Saturday December 21st at 8pm! All licensed amateur
radio operators are encouraged to participate!
