[W8MWA] Alert: Special Weather Statement

NWS Pittsburgh PA Issues a Special Weather Statement for Fayette PA,
Fayette Ridges PA, Greene PA, Monongalia WV, Preston WV, Ridges of Eastern
Monongalia and Northwestern Preston WV

At 248 PM EDT, Doppler radar was tracking a strong thunderstorm near Point
Marion, or near Star City, moving southeast at 20 mph.

 HAZARD...Wind gusts up to 40 mph.

 SOURCE...Radar indicated.

 IMPACT...Gusty winds could knock down tree limbs and blow around unsecured
objects. Locations impacted include... Morgantown, Westover, Star City,
Point Marion, Granville, Cassville, Brookhaven, Masontown, Bobtown,
Greensboro, Mount Morris, Laurel Run, Cheat Lake, Osage, and Core. This
includes the following highways... Interstate 68 in West Virginia between
mile markers 3 and 18. Interstate 79 in Pennsylvania between mile markers 0
and 3. Interstate 79 in West Virginia between mile markers 152 and 160.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... If outdoors, consider seeking shelter
inside a building.
