==================================================

A cold upper low will dive down for the northern Great Lakes today and
cross the region late this afternoon and during the evening. This low will
bring snow showers, cold temperatures and gusty winds. The arctic air with
the upper level system will also destabilize the atmosphere which will
increase the risk for snow squalls.

Most of the area will see 1 to 3 inches. If a persistent snow band develops
higher accumulations are likely. The heaviest snow will be in the ridges of
northern West Virginia.

Gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting of snow as well. Temperatures
will be falling today and will stay chilly through midweek.

If you will be traveling today or tonight, be prepared for winter driving
conditions. Remember snow squalls can bring rapid changes to conditions,
and quickly make driving very difficult and dangerous.
