I regret to announce the passing on May 20 of long-time MVA member, 
Norton Smith, WD8AFJ. Norton was not only an active member of MVA, but 
for many years he was instrumental in maintaining the MWA repeater.

Due to COVID-19, there will be no visitation. A mass of Christian burial 
will be celebrated at St. Francis DeSales Church at 10 a.m. on 
Wednesday, June 3. Burial will be in East Brady, Pa.

Donations in Norton’s name would be welcomed by the Mountaineer Area 
Council Boy Scouts of America, 1831 Speedway
Road, Fairmont, WV 26554, or the food bank at Scotts Run Settlement 
House, 41 Lady Bug Lane, Osage, WV 26543.
