Get ready for Mason-Dixon 250 in 2017! The three-day event will commemorate
the 250th anniversary of the ending of the historic Mason-Dixon survey in
October, 1767.

The event will be held at Mason-Dixon Historical Park near Mount Morris,
Pa. Mason and Dixon were in this area from Oct. 9 to Oct. 20, 1767. This
celebration will focus on the Mason-Dixon Line between West Virginia and
Pennsylvania.

Planning is underway. We're hoping to have historical reenactments and
encampments, surveyors with displays and equipment, astronomy-related
events including an evening star party with telescopes, a quality arts and
crafts show, music and food from that period, and much more! You'll have
tons of fun and learn why the Mason-Dixon Line is so important to our area
– and why it had nothing to do with the Civil War!
