General Membership Meeting Minutes
October 6, 2011
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 by President AD4UL .
Board Members Present: AD4UL, KE3V, N3NKV, WB3DOM, K3PLV, N3JOC, KB3NAT,
Not Present: N3DBC, KB3GYR
AD4UL suspended the business meeting for a promotional movie about ham radio from the Phil-Mont Radio Club from the 1950s.
AD4UL reconvened the meeting at 7:25 pm.

Secretary’s Report: N3LBI made a motion to accept the minutes of the general membership meeting as printed in the QUARAE. Seconded by WA3UTN. Motion Carried. KE3V mentioned that there was a typo in the board meeting minutes. The minutes mentioned that he seconded a motion when he was not present. N3NKV said he will look into the original notes from the meeting and fix the minutes of that meeting.
Treasurer’s Report: The treasurer was not present. N3NKV provided a rough estimate of what was given at the board meeting.
Committee Reports:
Membership: N3NKV reported that as per the last board meeting minutes there were 101 members.
Public Service: AD4UL reported that a $250 check was received from the Edinboro Triathlon and the event will take place on June 2, 2012. A $200 check was received from the Erie Runners club for helping out with the Erie Marathon. There are no more events scheduled for 2011. Doug thanked everyone for helping out with all of this years events.
Newsletter: N3NKV had nothing to report.
Website: N3NKV reported that the Excel version of the Membership Directory is online.
Clubhouse: KB3JZM reported that the steel for the frames for the shutters has been ordered as per Neal.
Repeater: N3NKV reported that the audio he adjusted on the link to usable levels. KB3BAM will be going out to the site within the next few days with a service monitor to do more adjustments. The 61 repeater needs to have the UPS installed on the controller. N3NKV also mentioned he has been working on the controller and doing some changes to it.
New/Old Business:
Kenwood TS-2000: The Kenwood 2000 will be going to KB3NAT’s home for winter storage.
Annual Gift to Good Neighbor Bob: Motion was made by AD4UL to give good neighbor Bob $100 for keeping an eye on the clubhouse and cutting the lawn. Seconded by KB3VJZ. Motion Carried.
Echolink: The board decided to allow Adam to host Echolink for the 61 repeater. A motion was made by AD4UL that the club return Adam’s $50 donation for the climbing belt that was never bought. Moti on seconded by W3IAX. All in Favor.
Christmas Party: N3NKV gave a report on the Christmas Party. The tentative price breakdown is as follows: $10.75 for the buffet + $1.82 for gratuity @ 17% + $.65 for tax= $13.22 per person rounded up to $15.00 person. The club makes $1.78 per person for the slush fund for the party. The slush fund can be used to by the door prizes. I.E. gas cards. Jafa KB3VJZ will be taking reservations. Kevin KE3V will handle the door prizes. John N3NKV will be in contact with the caterer. The program for the evening will be N3MLX. He will put on a presentation about his cross country circle tour.
Airport Drill: KB3NAT gave a overview of how went at the Airport drill.
