Dick was very instrumental in starting up the SKYWARN program in the area along with having one of the first 2 meter repeaters in the area. The 146.76 repeater along with many other things. Dick tried to be involved in ham radio until the very end and I enjoyed the many projects I worked on him with. The amateur radio community will not be same without him and he will be missed.
