Ladies and Gentlemen

Please, let me apologize for this email, It's not intended to offend however
it may offend you, quite unintentionally. As you know, our club and our
nation is facing an important election.

It's the participation of all the people (qualified voters) to express their
opinion regarding their leadership in the near future that make a country or
club strong and successful!

I may not have these facts exactly correct but, It will give you some idea
about what's not right; regarding presidential elections, 81% of American
voters came out to the polls to vote for Abraham Lincoln, it was a vote
against slavery but this was before the electoral college, the automobile
and (I think, before voter registration) that was a huge turn-out compared
to recent elections like Bill Clintons where (if I'm correct) 34% of
eligible voters, voted, that's about 1/3 of the "eligible" voters voted.

Now, please remember that many presidents had questionable experience before
winning their office, Ronald Regan (actor) Barak Obama (freshmen Senator) to
mention just a few. What I'm suggesting is as a paid or lifetime member You
Are qualified to run for any office in our club.

Our club officers are tired and they've been in their respective offices for
3 or 4 years and if you completely satisfied, they're going to offer their
services again, I applaud them! So far, no one has expressed an interest for
positions as members at large, why?

In the meetings we see very experience Amateur Radio people (among other
things) and people whom are just getting started and all levels in between.
I've heard some great ideas from so many of you and we've all heard many of
the ideas come up over and over again and there no less important! A club
isn't like a restaurant, you can't sit down an order from a menu what you
like. A club is an entity where people (all members) work together to
achieve a goal and learn ,together, about their hobby while (I hope) have
some fun doing so.

We all have a life outside of the club, we all attend because we want the
club to succeed and to succeed we all need to actively participate, not
simply show up. If you bring a live plant home, it's because you like it,
right? So why don't you water and feed it before it dies, then afterwards
complain that it died, our club is having the same issue and it takes all of
us to succeed not five or ten, All!

Please get involved, please help in bringing some of your good ideas to
fruition.

You can email me your selection at: n1mnv at comcast.net

Looking forward to hearing from you!

73, Michael, N1MNV
