All -

Please see below. I have no doubt that there are people in our
membership that are more than deserving of a nomination. Last year, we
had absolutely no nominations from our area. Let's turn this around and
get some of our membership recognized.

Hello,

Nominations for the 2015 Hudson Division Awards are now being accepted.
This is a wonderful opportunity for you to nominate someone who has
greatly contributed to Amateur Radio in our Division. The ARRL Hudson
Division typically grants awards each year to some very deserving
members of the ARRL in the following (but not limited to) categories;
Technical Achievement, Grand Ole Ham, and Amateur of the Year.

Last year there were fewer nominations for awards than we’ve had in
past years. In fact, there were no nominations for any award from the
Northern New Jersey section. I know there are deserving hams throughout
the entire Hudson Division. We are asking you to make submissions for
this year's awards by taking the time to fill out the award nominations
form, include any supporting documentation that bests represents the
candidate, and write a few paragraphs describing why you think they
deserve the award. Have others in your organization write up a
nomination as well. The more supporting documents, the better.

Please visit the Hudson Division Website to view the gallery of photos
from previous years dinners. The deadline for submission of all
nomination materials is August 15, 2015.

The Awards Luncheon, sponsored this year by the Bergen Amateur Radio
Association (BARA), will be held on Sunday, November 8, 2015 at:

MESON MADRID
343 Bergen Blvd
Palisades Park, NJ 07650

The catering hall is located just south of the George Washington Bridge
and is easily accessible. Ticket sales and journal advertising will
begin shortly.

All proceeds from the luncheon will be donated to the ARRL Legislative
Issues Advocacy Fund. Donations to this fund are used specifically to
support the efforts to promote, inform, and advocate to Congress on
behalf of Amateur Radio.
