Hello Cherryville!<br/><br/>This will be one of my last official messages as YOUR president, as the commute from my new QTH in Arkansas to CRA meetings and events in Hunterdon County (1110 miles) takes a little longer than my commute from Somerville!<br/><br/>CRA annual elections are only a little more than a month away. Tom, NU2W, one of your elected members at large and the 2014 election committee chairman has e-mailed several reminders, only to get no replies from you, the club members!  Per our by-laws, Tom must submit a ballot for membership approval at the March club meeting and after approval mail it out so YOU can vote and return it prior to the start of the April meeting. <br/><br/>Since no one offered any input to Tom in the form of nominations, is it safe to assume that you are leaving your right to elect club officers to the Executive Board?  Do you simply not care enough about the club to submit a nomination?  Are you that bored with the
 club?  Has the entire membership become so apathetic?<br/><br/>Folks, CRA exists because you want it to. It is a membership organization and the members ultimately choose the direction of the club!  CRA is YOUR club, not the Board's club. If YOU want it to continue to exist, each and every one of YOU must get involved. If we cannot even put together an election ballot, then YOU are not involved!  It is NOT someone else's job, it is YOUR job!<br/><br/>Unhappy with the club's direction?  Don't like the current officers?  Then GET UP OFF YOUR COLLECTIVE BACKSIDES AND MAKE CHANGES!  Otherwise CRA will cease to exist and you will all be looking for another club!  Is that what you want??<br/><br/>After you elect your officers for 2014, YOU still need to be involved in keeping CRA alive. If CRA, by default you, are to grow and prosper, the MEMBERS must get the word out to non members. Invite your friends to join. Help get membership solicitations in the mail
 and into the media!  It simply WILL NOT happen without every one of YOU!!!<br/><br/>I have been a member of CRA for 33 of the 39 years the club has existed. Despite my distance from Hunterdon, CRA is MY club, and I refuse to let it die of membership apathy!!!  Don't let it happen people!  CRA has a lot of benefits and a lot to offer, but it depends on YOU!  Let's keep CRA active and vibrant!  I hope you agree. <br/><br/>Please e-mail or give Tom, NU2W, a land line call and submit your nominations before March 11.  I look forward to seeing a full slate on the ballot when I get one!  Yes!  Even though I am 1100 miles away, I plan to cast my vote in the 2014 CRA election.
