  Thank you volunteers!
I am sorry that I am late in thanking each and every one of you for
coming out to support the Ride for the Ribbons this year! As with any
ride, we had some issues to deal with, but overall the ride went well
and most riders were happy. We could not have pulled this ride off
without you - I had many compliments on the wonderful volunteers! I
hope you all enjoyed yourselves and if you have any comments on how to
improve the ride, I would love to hear them. I heard that the butt
numbers were hard to read and I forgot to mention in the pre-ride
briefing to call numbers out when passing volunteers, so we will work on
improving that for next year.
Ribbons was looking down on us and helped bring the slightly cooler than
expected weather; it would have been brutal for the horses if the
weather was as predicted. We also raised quite a bit of money for New
Bolton in her memory. I don't have an exact figure yet, but it will be
on the order of $1000 or more once I am able to sit down and figure
everything out. I couldn't have asked for more professional volunteers
and I hope each and every one of you enjoyed the day and might come back
next year!
I also wanted to take a moment to let you know all the supporters of the
ride with award donations - without their major support, we wouldn't
have had such nice awards for the riders, so if you already shop with
them, thank you and if not, maybe you want to check them out!

If man could be crossed with a cat, it would improve man, but
deteriorate the cat.
Oh what fun to be a cat!
