W2CRA members:
Here are the basic plans for Field Day this year.
We plan to operate as a 4A station (four rigs transmitting at any given time during the event) so you will have plenty of opportunities to operate - no one will be left out.
Think about when you want to operate and let me know at Friday's meeting.
There will be a digital station and (at least) one CW station where you can get coaching or ask questions if those are not your usual modes of operating. Please, plan on, at least, trying out those modes if they are new to you...

While operations begin on Saturday afternoon, W2CRA will begin setting up on FRIDAY at 4PM local time. Please be there to help out. (If you can't get there 'til 5 or 6 - that's OK - come anyway)

Glenn, AC2BH (W2CRA Field Day Co-Chair)

1400 local time – Operate – Operate– Operate

Culinary Delights- An army marches on it's stomach? Hams aren't too far
behind. We are planning to prepare lunch & dinner on Saturday, Donuts &
bagels for breakfast on Sunday, and any leftovers for lunch on Sunday.

Public Relations- Some hams cringe at the thought of a news reporter
watching/listening to them make a QSO. The fact is, it's one of the fastest
ways to get more people involved in the hobby and more members to local area
clubs. We will talk to local radio stations and news services and invite them
to the Field Day site on Saturday late afternoon. In addition, County Freeholders,
other government officials, and served agencies have been invited to the site. Designated
people will be talking to the press so nobody will interfere with your QSO's.

1400
EST, Sunday, June 23, 2013
Operations Cease- We will terminate communications after 24 hours on the
air and begin tear-down of the stations and associated antennas.

We will need plenty of extra hands to help out with this
activity.
