No, it isn't quite Christmas yet, but now is the time to get plans for our Awards Dinner and Holiday Celebration underway.  As we have done in the past several years, the 2012 event will be a "Pot Luck" dinner.  CRA will provide the ham and beverages, and the members will bring a covered dish of appropriate additional food.
 
To make things run smoothly, I need a volunteer to coordinate the food items so we don't all wind up bringing baked beans or mac and cheese.  Roberto, K2PA has been gracious enough to do this the last two years and I would like someone else to take the initiative this year.  It doesn't involve much effort as you just need to contact the members and confirm if they will be attending and ask them to bring a dish from one of a half dozen food groups.  Two people would make this job even easier.
 
I am also in need of a volunteer to assist with setup and cleanup who will also coordinate in the kitchen with warming of hot dishes and such.  This person will need to be there early to assure tables and chairs are set up and table cloths are in place.
 
Let's make this another enjoyable event!  I will be accepting volunteers at Friday night's meeting.
