Hello again Cherryville members!
 
Tom, NU2W, has advised me that there are still open slots on our officer election ballot for the April election.  
 
We need IMMEDIATE nominations for Vice President, Treasurer, and two Members at Large.  The club cannot function without having these positions filled.  The commitment for the Vice President and Treasurer is only for 1 year, and does not require a great deal of time.  The Member at Large positions are for 2 years each, and offer an opportunity for any of you to be the voice of the general membership on the Executive Board.  Your commitment requires only that you participate at the monthly Board meetings and club meetings to give the membership the representation they need in club decision making.
 
Bill, WB1GOT, will be available to assist the new treasurer, and Michael, N1MNV and I will assist the new vice president in learning the ropes.  You will not be left to find your own way,
 
PLEASE, contact Tom, NU2W at nu2w at arrl.net right away to volunteer for one of these positions.  We need to get our ballot finalized and in the mail before April 1.
 
If no one steps forward, the club will not be able to function.  I have been a CRA member now for 31 years, and we have always had members step forward in support of the club.  Let's not drop the ball now.  The decision is in your hands.  Do we close our doors and give up?  I sure hope not!
 
I do not think our members will let us down.  Step up to the plate and let's hit a home run!
